Resources

Here are some of our favorite tools and resources for different things we use in the neighborhood.

311

If you run into a problem that isn't an emergency and not sure what to do, give 311 a call. They'll figure out who best can help you or take your issue over the phone. They can help with things like stuff blocking the sidewalk, lights that take too long, potholes, or dead animals. Calling and reporting the issues you see is a great way to improve our neighborhood and maintain accessible walkways. Austin 311 also has an app you can use to report issues and submit photos if you'd prefer not to call. As always, if you have an emergency or if there is a problem that could endanger someone, like something in the road, call 911.

BCycle

BCycle is a docked bike-share system throughout Austin. West Campus sports several convenient docks, which makes it a great way to take advantage of the great biking infrastructure in and around the neighborhood. Students can sign up for free with their .edu email. Everyone can access BCycle for affordable daily, monthly, and yearly rates. BCycle recently just launched a fleet of electric bikes that dock at their normal stations as well! Find them in their app or online.

Dockless Electric Scooters and Bikes

Four providers of electric scooter are regularly distributed in our neighborhood: Lime, Bird, Lyft, and Jump. These small electric scooters and bikes are a great way to get around the area! You can find them in their apps.
